Job specification - To recognize, identify, and interpret abnormalities and common pathology. - Refer patients where necessary to other healthcare professionals. - Communicate effectively with patients to obtain and evaluate their dental history and diagnose the condition. - Perform routine dental procedures, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride application. - Treat and restore deciduous teeth known as pulp therapy. - To work with a range of patients including adults and children with special needs or those who are extremely anxious about treatment. - To carry out a clinical examination. - Adhere to strict infection control protocols following regulatory standards. - To provide care for implant and treatment of peri-implant tissue Candidate requirements - Must have obtained a diploma or degree in dental therapy. - Must be a registered General Dental Council (GDC) member. - Must have at least two years of experience working as a Dental Therapist in the United Kingdom. - Must have basic knowledge of IT, and the ability to write accurately and keep safe records of patients. - Must be friendly, confident, and professional when interacting with patients and colleagues. - Must possess good motivational skills to educate patients to maintain healthy oral hygiene and a healthy diet.
