Job specification - Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. - Responsible for the decontamination of surgical instruments. - Prepare and maintain dental instruments, ensuring a sterile and organized working environment. - Provide support to patients before, during, and after dental procedures. - Record and update patient medical histories as required. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. - Protect the confidentiality of patients' information. - Assist in removing saliva from a patient's mouth during treatment. Candidate requirements - Must have A level 3 diploma in dental nursing either part-time or full-time, that the General Dental Council approves. - Must be a registered member of the General Dental Council (GDC). - Must have at least 2 years experience working as a Dental Nurse in the United Kingdom. - Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping systems. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Role scope
- Support chairside flow, patient preparation, records, decontamination standards and smooth handover.
- Keep the front-of-house and clinical pathway organised, warm and safe for patients.
- Work closely with clinicians, coordinators and practice leadership.
